The following are some basic points to remember when caring for your French Rolling Pin, Cutting Board or Fiddle Bow Knife.

1. Use only mineral oil or butcher block oil on product. Other oils (vegetable, olive, etc.) will turn rancid. It is best to apply the oil slightly warm and with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain. Warming the oil allows it to penetrate deeper into the wood.

2. Apply oil to your wood item at least once a week. Allow oil to soak in and remove excess with a clean, lint-free towel.

3. To clean your wood item, wash with soap and water, but never place it in the dishwasher.

4. To sanitize, mix four parts water to one part vinegar and spray liberally over item. Let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe dry.
